Amy Gabriel is a full-time freelance writer who currently lives in both Austin, TX and New Orleans, LA with her husband, Aubrey.  She landed her first magazine job at age 19 for Today's Dallas Woman. While studying for her Journalism degree at the University of Texas at Austin, she worked as a contributing writer for local publication, Austin Fit Magazine. After graduating in 2001, Amy continued to work for Austin Fit Magazine on a freelance basis, and penned her own quirky column, Miss Information. After taking on full-time positions such as Tourism Coordinator for the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau and Director of Marketing at event planning firm, Kennedy Creative, she switched her focus in 2009 to become a full-time freelance writer, covering editorials and style pieces for local publications.
 
Amy is currently the Editor-In-Chief of Tidbits, LLC, an e-newsletter and accompanying website, for which she writes features and manages content for Austin and New Orleans. She is also a style and design contributor and features writer for the Austin American Statesman, Glossy Magazine and The Inside Source.
